The ADHD Society of the Philippines is a non-profit organization established in year 2000 that seeks to address the needs of children with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD). It also aims at providing parents, educators, and professionals with necessary support mechanisms and strategies in the effective management of children with AD/HD.
POSITION TITLE: PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO : HEAD OF THE SECRETARIAT
BASIC FUNCTION: To help facilitate the implementation of programs, projects and activities of various committees in accordance to the approved plan and budget within a given period of time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To draft letters/correspondences and all forms of communication to agencies/schools/offices that are directly involved in the conduct of the programs, projects and activities of the Committees, and submits the same to the HSD or the designated Committee Chair for approval.
2. To prepare and submit to HSD all documents and reportorial requirements of concerned funding partners and agencies.
3. To coordinate closely with Committee Chairpersons as regards the schedules of activities i.e. trainings, meetings; checks with them the needed speakers, materials, paraphernalia and other resources so that every detail is well taken cared of
4. To ensure that all evaluation results after every seminar/training are collated and summarized with the assistance of the Staff Support Committee.
5. To help follow through the establishment of linkages with concerned government agencies and non-government organizations.
6. To attend the parent-support group meetings and takes note of issues and concerns raised during such meetings and submits the same to concerned Committee chair.
7. To submit a monthly accomplishment report to the HSD re the work done.
8. To attend Committee meetings, seminars and other major activities of the Society and provide essential inputs; submits minutes/summary of proceedings of committee meeting.
9. Whenever designated, to represent the Society in external meetings, conferences, dialogues, and other related and relevant gatherings.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Mission-driven.
2. Knowledgeable of what the Society stands for, as well as adheres or shows strong interest in its advocacy.
3. A college graduate preferably in any of the following fields: Management, Communication Arts, Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, Child Education/ Studies and other related fields.
4. Knowledge in program and project development and management, particularly in program/ project planning, monitoring, coordination, and evaluation.
5. At least two (2) years of working experience in a related field.
6. Excellent skills in oral and written communications.
7. Adequate computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
8. Ability to organize and conduct trainings, seminars, conferences and other functions/events,
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and a team worker.
10. Works well under pressure.
11. Flexible enough to handle multiple tasks and travel around the country, from time to time.
12. Can work without close supervision.
